🐯 Attendance Matters Everyday, but ESPECIALLY Tomorrow!
Posted Date: 9/30/25 (2:39 PM)
Hello Rose Families! October 1st is CBEDS Day!
The California Basic Educational Data System (CBEDS) count is our BIG, official student count day. This number determines all of our funding formulas (average daily attendance, Title I, Supplemental, and more). That means tomorrow’s attendance directly impacts the programs and supports we can offer our Rose Tigers all year long.
Why does attendance matter at Rose?
- Every Rose Tiger at school tomorrow helps bring in 100% of expected funding.
- Missing just one day of school costs Rose about $85 in lost funding — that’s money our PTO and families work so hard to raise.
- Even if your child can only attend part of the day, we still receive full credit for their attendance. Please bring them in the morning so we can count them as part of our community.
- High attendance isn’t just about funding- it also shows our community that Rose is a strong, engaged, and high-quality school.
To make tomorrow extra fun, we’ve planned special celebrations for our Tigers:
- 🎶 K-Pop Lunch Sing-Along- We will have music and dancing at lunch!
- 🧸 Labubu or Lafufu Giveaway- Fun prizes for our students! Must be present to win one of 6 Labubu (or Lafufu????) prizes!
- 🍦 100% Classroom Attendance = Ice Cream Party!
We are so grateful for your partnership in making attendance a top priority. Let’s show what the Rose Tiger community can do!
