Dear Rose Families,
What an incredible start to the school year! From our joyful Back to School Nights to the warm connections at our PTO Welcome Breakfast, it has been wonderful to see our community come together in support of our students. Already, we are seeing amazing collaboration between families and staff, and our Tigers are off to a fantastic start both academically and behaviorally. Thank you for helping us kick off the year with such energy, joy, and commitment- we couldn’t ask for a better beginning, and we are excited to keep this momentum going all year long. 💛
🗳️ School Site Council Voting
It’s time to vote for our parent representatives on the Rose School Site Council (SSC)! Please take a moment to cast your vote for three parents who will serve a two-year term beginning in the 2025–2026 school year. Our SSC plays a vital role in reviewing school programs, academics, behavior supports, social-emotional learning, and budget decisions that impact every Rose Tiger. We are grateful to our current parent representatives, Jamie Chew and Chong Wing Yung, who will continue to serve for one more year. Your voice matters- thank you for helping shape the future of Rose by voting!

📚 The Importance of Attendance
Every day matters! Missing just 2 days a month adds up to nearly a full month of lost learning. Arriving on time each morning helps students feel confident, connected, and ready to learn. Thank you for making daily, on-time attendance a priority.
- Campus opens at 7:30am for breakfast.
- School begins at 8:00am. Students arriving after 8:00am are tardy.
📝 Independent Study Reminders
To protect learning time, Rose will be strictly following our Independent Study (IS) policy this year.
- IS is for 3-14 missed days only
- Must be requested 10 school days in advance
- New this year: Families will meet with administration before approval
- Work must be fully completed and returned for absences to be excused
- IS is not available the first 10 days of school, before/after breaks of 5+ days, or after April 1st
- Students absent 10+ days without IS may lose classroom placement
🎯 Goal-Setting Conferences
September 29 - October 3, 2025
Goal-Setting Conferences are almost here! These important meetings allow teachers, families, and students to connect early in the year to establish academic and social-emotional goals. Conferences are not just about sharing progress- they are about building a partnership and creating a roadmap for your child’s success. Together, we will celebrate strengths, identify areas for growth, and set meaningful goals that your child can work toward throughout the year.
Minimum Day Schedule:
- TK/K: 8:00 – 12:00pm
- Grades 1–6: 8:00 – 12:35pm
💻 Data Confirmation
Please log into the Aeries Parent Portal to complete Data Confirmation for each child by September 5th. Need help? Call or stop by the office.
✨ Student Spotlight
We know that Rose Tigers do amazing things outside of the classroom, and we want to celebrate them! Whether your child participates in sports, plays an instrument, dances, creates art, performs in theater, volunteers, or achieves something special at home or in the community- we’d love to recognize it. Nothing is too big or too small to highlight!
Spotlights will be shared in upcoming newsletters and on our school Instagram page to inspire and celebrate our students’ diverse talents and accomplishments.

- 🎶 Oct 1- K-Pop Day! Join us for a lunch sing-along to K-Pop Demon Hunter songs and dress in K-Pop inspired outfits. We will also be hosting a mystery raffle- LABUBU OR LAFUFU? Every student at school that day will be entered to win!
